When we are in a space of pain, we see the world through that pain, we respond to the world through that pain.
When we are in a state of peace, we see the world through that peace, we respond to the world through that peace.
When we are in a state of joy, we see the world through that joy, we respond to the world through that joy.
When we are in a state of love, we see the world through that love, we respond to the world through that love.
Next time you are in a state of anything, observe how you see your world, and how you respond to your world. This observation is the best way to understand this principle.
The next step would be to find a way to change your mood, when you find you are in a low mood—such as anger, pain, fear, resentment etc. Perhaps you could switch your thoughts to something that lifts you up, to something positive, to something you love to do, or to a person you love? Perhaps a walk around the block, or through the bush, or the park? Perhaps some cooking? Perhaps gardening? Perhaps a bike ride? There are a myriad of things that we can do that change our mood. So, when you find yourself in a heavy mood, look for ways to change that. Your energy goes where your attention flows.
If you find yourself regularly slipping into a heavy mood, ask yourself why. What is your trigger? And then ask yourself why you have this trigger. The truth is that our responses are our own. And only when we take responsibility for our own responses will we begin to uncover the reasons behind them. For as long as it is always ‘someone else’s fault’ we will never break the cycle. Better to take the time for self examination and understanding, and then we can let it go.
Life is an adventure of experiences. Some positive, some negative, but all for good reason. Nothing happens without a reason. Look into it, study it, see what the reason could be.
The goal is to live in a state of love all the time, seeing the world through that love, responding to the world through that love. Many people are already doing this. Many people are trying, and achieving regular success. Many people are waking up to this journey. Many people are still sound asleep, and in their spiritual slumber they put the blame and responsibility for everything on others, on all that is outside of themselves.
I hope I have given you something to think about …
Much love to you all.
Life is…
