YOU impact the world

Take time out of your day to just sit, quietly outside. Breathe in long and slow, breathe out long and slow, several times.

In these moments … feel the peace settle into your heart, settle into your bones, settle into your mind, and know that so long as you are holding this peace, so is the world able to hold it. Your peace impacts world peace.

You might scoff at that. But you do not know how great an impact each and every person has. So many talk of peace, and then they take actions that cause the opposite, and result in them feeling the opposite. How is that helpful?

Peace. It is something you must feel. It is something you must hold within you. It is something you must live. It is something you must emanate from your being. When you do that … you create peace.

When you steal, when you create grief, hurt, pain, upset, when you do negative actions … peace is clearly something you do not want for yourself. And worse still, the universe is watching and all things will be balanced. Your actions create consequences. No one gets away with anything, there is always a payment that will be extracted somewhere down the line. If you steal, if you are unkind, cruel, nasty, then do not cry ‘poor me’ down the line when the consequences of your actions confront you. That is all your own doing.

But if you want peace. If you want love … then you must become that which you desire, so that you may come to know it fully, and understand how knowing it fully changes you, changes your world, and impacts the entire world.

The days of ‘I am one person what difference can I make’ … those days are demanding action, and demanding you show yourself what difference one person can make. How will you know what difference one person holding peace can make until you do it and prove to yourself the difference it makes.

If we do not try, if we do not make the effort, then nothing will change, nor improve.

Turn off the television, put down the cell phone, walk away from the computer, and go and sit outside, or go for a walk. Breathe deeply. Look at all the beauty around you. And if you cannot see any, stop judging and start looking. A single flower, be it weed or not, is a beauty. A bird is a beauty. A butterfly is a beauty, The wind, be it firm or gentle, is a blessing and a joy. The rain, be it heavy or light, is s blessing, a joy. Allow yourself to see the world with fresh eyes.

A war is not won by raising a fist. It is won by the laying down of arms and by the hearts that choose ‘no more killing’. A gang battle is just a small local war, and again, nothing is won, it is only loss, loss of loved ones, loss of friends,  and the creation of fear. What I want to see in these gangs is brotherhood, and the commitment to making a difference in their neighbourhoods by helping people. Get out there and clean up the rubbish, mow the berms for a whole street, help elderly people, make sure they feel safe in their homes. That kind of gang would win. But selling drugs to make money and destroy lives, stealing, these things only bring consequences down the line, and a karmic debt that may take many lifetimes to work off. The hell you create for yourself in the long term … it is not worth it. But a brotherhood that helps the neighbourhood, yes, that would be a blessing and great mana. There is a choice to be made. True strength is not in the fist, it is in the heart.

What I am trying to say is, we impact our world, and we create our live with our choices.

Never has it felt so imperative—to me at least—that we begin to hold peace within ourself. Hold be. Breathe peace. Be peace.

If something arises that upset you, look at it, study it, understand why it upset you, and accept that, and then go back to holding peace.

Only in this way will things change.

The power of the individual. Please, prove to yourself that power. Try. Make the effort. Then observe, feel, witness the results for yourself. This is the only way you can truly prove the power of one.

You do not even need to leave your home! Just hold peace no matter where you are. You will make an impact. Trust me.

The changes we desire to see in the outside world, must first come from our inside world.

No one is coming to save us. Truly. No one. It is up to us.

I invite you to devote the rest of 2025 to holding peace in your mind, heart, and body.
